All About Pets, a well-established, full service, luxurious pet resort is looking for a new member to join our team! We offer pet boarding, daycare and grooming, as well as a fully stocked retail store.
We are looking for a knowledgeable, animal-loving team member who enjoy working with dogs, cats and people in a fast paced environment.
As a member of the All About Pets pack, you will be responsible for assisting in both the kennel area as well as the front desk.

Ideally reside in the Hilton Head/Bluffton area If you are in Hardeeville/Okatie/Savannah/Beaufort PLEASE Google the commute before applying.
MUST be able to work rotating weekends and holidays Previous experience with animals in pet boarding, grooming, shelter or veterinary care.
Caring for your own animals does not count.
If you do not have professional animal experience, please describe how your skills are transferable.
Passion for pets and their care when staying with us Strong work ethic Always be dependable and punctual Detail oriented & self motivated Able to work independently but communicate effectively with your team Expect to work holidays and weekends; Must be available occasionally in the evenings to do late-night (usually 5-9PM) Must have reliable transportation Must be able to be on feet for full shift and able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds by yourself Must be able to handle dogs on and off leash.
Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to barking dogs, occasionally grumpy cats, disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander, and excretions (pee, poop, vomit, blood, drool) Pay is dependent on experience Animal Caretaker Responsibilities Feeding and medicating dogs and cats Keeping rooms/kennels/litter-boxes clean and sanitized Observe and learn animal behavior and signs of aggression in order to appropriately assign dogs to the proper play yards, which will require listening and distinguishing between dog vocalizations, distress barks, aggression, etc Monitor play yards for dogs of all sizes; Maintain continuous focus and attention on dog interactions to prevent fights and injuries; Supervising and picking up after the dogs, in all weather conditions Occasional bathing of dogs Reporting any unusual behaviors or medical problems immediately General upkeep/cleaning of facility.
ie:
mopping, sweeping, laundry, dishes etc.
Front Desk Responsibilites:
Handle checking-in/checking-out of pets for boarding and grooming appointments Greet customers and answer any questions regarding boarding, grooming, or details of the retail products Handle retail transactions Stocking retail floor Answer phones and be able to schedule appointments/reservations and answer questions Make calls to clients confirming appointments, etc.
Complete daily office paperwork MUST be willing to work rotating weekends and holidays.
