Strong candidates will be able to adapt to a high-paced environment and have demonstrated interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
You must be highly organized to be successful in this position.
Key
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of initial drafts of legal documents under supervision of attorney.
Support and assist litigation and business attorneys.
Create and maintain pleadings binders.
Organize documents received during discovery.
Make and receive calls in a friendly manner that enhances the professionalism and image of our firm.
Resolve concerns, questions, issues, requests, and complaints wherever possible, relay actionable messages to attorneys when issues cannot be resolved.
Prepare, type, copy, mail, and file materials such as correspondence, engagement letters, and invoices.
Schedule appointments and meetings.
Must have extensive computer experience using Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Experience using Macs, practice management software like Clio, and document drafting software preferred but not required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
